Numerous times in my many years here, I heard them fireworks go off from some nearby temple, and I could see puffs of smoke hardly visible in the bright blue sky. And so I was having lunch with my colleague one day and the fireworks went off.
Me: “Looks like the temple is having a party again, Thai temples always seem to have temple fair and party all year round.”
Colleague: “No, that no party, that is to inform the township that who ever that died will soon be roasted, so come to the temple to see the departed for one last time.”
I see.
